Style Rules Applied to Imported Buildings from IMX

Hi All,

In infraworks 2014, Is it possible to apply style rules to buildings whose geomtery came from an IMX file?

Here is the situation:

We have 10's of thousands of building Mass elements in Revit 2013 (massive new city master planning project). These masses will be several rvt project files.  Rather use FBX or the new RVT import feature which brings all of the masses in as a huge unmanagable chunk, we want the each building to be an AIM building for performance and theming ability.  I am exporting an IFC file containing the masses, sending them out as IfcBuildingElementProxies, then using FME to convert them to buildings with added attriubutes into an autodesk IMX file, which of course is brought into Infraworks.  The process is essentially automated, users just export the IFC file to a folder and FME processes it.  The design and layout changes very often, which is why indivdual building objects are prefered.

Just to round out the background info: Roads are coming from Civil 3d and exisiting GIS data.  Everything else is GIS.

The geometry comes in just fine and preforms well.  So the problem comes in when i want to assign facade styles to the imported buildings, seems like it just won't take it.  Can styles only be applied to buildings generated in Infraworks from extruded shape files?  It seems like that is the case.

Thanks for any help!
