Hi, I am very new to Infraworks and am trying out a trial version of it. Everytime I try to add an aerial photos they come in grey. They import but there is no image just grey. I don, know if this is a setting somewhere or if it has anything to do with the trial version.
When I add the image I go to the data source tab, go to add raster, then I configure the image (I have tried setting the classification to undefined and aerial)
Thanks for any help
next step is to verify the coordinate system of your project and the one from your images! I guess they are at any place far away from your project limits (surface extents).

Keep trying, the image is simply not lining up.
I usually use jpg for color images, you may switch formats to try.
I use a lisp to make world files in acad, reply if you want it.
I have good luck with geotiffs also, especially instead of dem files for surfaces.
I am fairly certain this is a problem specific to my computer, the images are coming in they are just grey. If I add just the image all I get is a grey box and other computers have been able to work with the same files I am using. Thanks for all the help everyone, I will let you know if I come up with what is actually causing the issue.
I have tried multiple types of images (ECW, SID JPG ect) if anyone wants to play around with one of the images I have tried and see if it works for them you can find it here: http://www.kelowna.ca/CM/Page3936.aspx it is Orthophotos 2012.
tried just now, came in perfect 1st try.
I do notice some grey slivers along the edge, like the image has no pixels there due to reprojection.
I don;t use ECW much, so am not familiar with what can muck up its reader....
I downloaded 326E_5532N.sid and it displays in color in InfraWorks 2014.
