water areas within designed dams and channels

I'm doing some flood analysis of a 100 yr flood zone. I need the water body object shown to be tranparent, so the image file can be seen showing the properties visable that flood.

Hi Mate,

You need to adjust the material settings in order to do this. Bascially you have to find the "color" component and set the "alpha" to a low number. You'll have to save this as a new material.

You could also show it is a coverage area instead of a water area. That way you can set the alpha value of the color straight from the style properties instead of having to create a new material.

Use the "manage surface layers" to set the different coverage layers in order of preference and you should have the result you're after.

Varhun

Bruce, which did you do, create a new material for the water style or use a land cover style?

Bruce,

Since you're doing this type of work, consider checking out Project Boulder: https://beta.autodesk.com/callout/?callid=%7BABADE776-9718-43AD-9C88-47A011D71CBA%7D
