How do I add a rail to a design bridge in Infraworks 360 2015?

I have Infraworks 360 2015 with Bridge Design and Road Design. I am trying to figure out how to add a pipe rail that runs the length of the bridge span. All I see is one fence and one vertical metal rail. Has anyone run into this problem?

Hi gbop,

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly. Did you ever manage to addres this?

If I am understanding you question, I would recommend editing the road style of the design road that contains the bridge you sketch. In the "Configure..[road style]" dialog box, you can click the Decorations icon to assign different 3D models as decorations for any track of the roadway. You can also also use the Style Palette to import a 3D model (i.e. any rail you'd like) into the 3D model style catalog, and use that as a 'decoration' on your road. To import a 3D model into a style catalog, open the Style Palette, click on the 3D Model tab on the left, then click the + sign on the bottom of the style pallete.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

If you want the 3D object (i.e. your rail) to follow the grade of the road, make sure you toggle on the "tilting"option in the road style for that decoration.

With tilting:

Without tilting:

And, yes, I used a ridiculously steep road for this example.
