Flooplain Ploygon to Water Material in Infraworks

Does anyone know if I can create a floodplain in Infraworks, and how to assign a water style to it?

Is it a shapefile?  If so, when you configure it, then you can assign the water style to it.

I can make a shape file, but will I loose the water surface elevations in the translation of it all?  I also have triangular faces with elevations. Ultimately I would like to use a surface as the Floodplain, and stylize it with water. Is that possible? Thanks!

You might try the steps below.

Create a large transparent blue plane by copying an existing plane and scaling it:

Add the plane to your model, and set the Elevation value (this represents the level of the water):

The images below show the result:

Thank you for your solution, will this also work with the version of Infraworks that comes with the 2014 Premium IDS?  Our company has not yet upgraded our subscription, so I don't have R4 available yet.

Yes, it does.

I just tried it in Infraworks 2014 R2 and it works fine.
