Revit to AutoCAD to Impression to 3DS Max

Hi all,

I am currently trying to set up a project to have renderings from Revit, Impression, and 3DS Max, all with the exact same view. I have figured out how to get a camera set up in Revit, into Impression, but I would now like to take that same model into 3DS Max. I am not sure if I need to be in the forums for 3DS Max, however any information getting the 3D Model from one of these programs into 3DS Max without attempting to replicate the camera angle would be beneficial.

Thanks,

Mark

It's probably a Revit or Max forum question, but I think you can save your cameras out when you export your Revit model to dwg, then bring it into Max.

Hi - You can save your cameras out of Revit and load directly into Max, as long as you export from Revit using the FBX format (this has been supported since Revit 2009). For Impression, you'll want to export as DWG or DWF.

thanks,
Shana
