Hi buddies,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to report a bug, but anyway, I found one.
The testing version is Softimage 2013sp1. Not sure whether more versions are involved.
When both a single string value and an array of strings participate in a concatenate operation in ICE,
If the single string comes first (which means it's a prefix), then the result array will be truncated into an Array contains ONLY ONE element. Yes, the hover context hint still shows that the result is a string array, but definetely NOT the one you desired.ONLY the first element is preserved.
However, if we exchange the order, the array comes first, and the single string appends it, the result is as desired, you get a
nice array with all original elements appended by the single string.
What's more, if 2 arrays concatenate each other, even if these 2 arrays are in different sizes, the result is ok, the result array
is of the bigger size of the orginal ones. EVEN IF one of the orginal array is a Single-elemented Array and comes first in the concatenating order.
best regards.
