can't sign in

Just made an account and downloaded the demo and installed it.

After I put my ID or e-mail in, and my password, and press "Sign In", the button turns into a spinning logo for half a second, then it just goes back to an empty address and password field. There's no error message.

Mac OS X 10.9.3

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community! Are you running a firewall or behind a proxy server that may prohibit web access?

Please review the below link for suggestions on how to configure a proxy server.

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Netw...

I hope this helps. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks,

No, I'm not using a proxy or firewall.

Is the Time and Date stamp on your system set to match your time zone, precisely?

Could you test another Autodesk ID? This may help determine if the issue is related to a specific Autodesk ID or with the environment you are logging in from.

Could you e-mail me your system profiler?

  1. Open Finder -> Applications -> Utilities.
  2. Double-click the item System Information.
  3. On the Menu Bar in the upper part of the screen, click File -> Save.
  4. In the dialog box that opens next, specify the report name, its tags, and the location where it will be saved.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Email the file to Nathan (dot) Chandler (at) Autodesk (dot) com

This may help determine potential causes of the issue.

Thanks,

Yes, my time and date is set automatically.

I tried creating another account through the Fusion 360 application, but after I create it, it goes back to the sign-in page, and it's the same. I enter the info and press the Sign In button, and it just goes back to a blank sign-in page. I am able to sign in to the new account with Firefox, but not with the Fusion 360 application.

I'm using a mid-2012 MacBook Air. I don't really feel comfortable e-mailing you my complete system profile details at the moment...

I still can't get past the sign-in page. No ideas?

Have you tried clearing all browser cache? The account seems to be working okay since you can log in with Firefox. This issue sounds like something is stopping Fusion 360 from connecting. Perhaps it is related to langauge settings, which language settings are you using?

You may also consider trying to log into Fusion 360 from a different network (e.g. coffee shop, or another network) as a diagnostic procedure.

Another option would be to perform a clean uninstall via the below procedure.

Next, start a new download by selecting "Download Free Trial" in the below link.

I hope this helps. Please keep us updated on your progress.

A couple more questions:

  1. Have you tried creating an account through the sign in dialog when Fusion launches?
  2. Can you post the location of where you created your other accounts?

The behavior seems to indicate there's no account with the name you are using but it's hard to say for sure. So at the Fusion login dialog, select the link to create a new account, create that account, and then see if it logs in.

I tried clearing my Firefox browser cache (is that what you meant?), logging in from a different network, and doing a clean uninstall/reinstall. Nothing worked. My language settings are English.

As I said above:
"I tried creating another account through the Fusion 360 application, but after I create it, it goes back to the sign-in page, and it's the same. I enter the info and press the Sign In button, and it just goes back to a blank sign-in page. I am able to sign in to the new account with Firefox, but not with the Fusion 360 application."

In other words, the account gets created by the application, but I still can't sign in to it through the application, only through Firefox.

So what's the deal with this? You obviously have some talented programmers working on Fusion 360 - nobody has any idea what could stop someone from logging in? There's no log, console, or debugging procedure I could do?

I've been waiting more than a month now.

I'm a Rhino user, but their Mac version still doesn't support T-Splines, so I thought I would give Fusion 360 a try. I was very skeptical about the whole "app in the cloud" thing, the higher price, subscription model, and the seemingly buggy/beta quality of Fusion 360. But I can't even start it up! I've had to wait weeks in between getting answers from support here, which seem to be a lot of random guesses about what the problem is. Sorry, but at this point I'm pretty unimpressed with your product!

After you create an account and try to sign into Fusion 360, do you receive a confirmation e-mail that an account has been created?

Since the result are the same with 2 user accounts, I suspect there is an interference specific to your network/system preventing Fusion 360 from accessing the web. Could there be a router firewall or hardware firewall that has been overlooked?

Have you tried logging in from any other networks (e.g. coffee shop wireless or another network)?

Hi,

With regards to your logging in problem first let me say thanks for your patience as we try to resolve your issue. We are in the process of checking the account.

As was previously stated, it would be helpful to know if a) You received a confirmation email with your account info and hub link, and b) if you can access your hub via the link in this email message.  If that is successful, then it confirms the hub was created using that account and it can be accessed.

If you did not receive an email, this indicates the hub was NOT successfully created and there's a problem with the account.

And although you mentioned you aren't behind a firewall/proxy it would also be useful for us to know the machine you are using, the operating system version, video card, memory, and if you are accessing it via a corporate or private (residential) network.

Finally, if you'd like to set up a time/day to discuss over the phone send a private reply to myself at: kevin.baribault@autodesk.com with your telephone # and day.time to call.

Regards, KpB

Guys, I already answered these questions weeks ago:

- no, I have no firewall, hardware or software!

- yes, I tried logging in from another network and the same thing happens.

- the account was created ok using the Fusion 360 application, and I can log in no problem using Firefox.

- I'm using a normal mid-2012 MacBook Air. My OS is up to date.

I did receive the confirmation e-mail. I just went to the link with Firefox and I can see my "dashboard". But I still can't log in through the application.

If I put the wrong password in the application, it says "Autodesk ID / e-mail and password do not match". But if I put the right one in, it just bounces back to the blank login screen. So I'm able to connect to the server, and it knows about my account and password. But it won't log me in, even though I can log in using my web browser.

I don't really have time to fool around with this anymore. If you figure out what can cause this, please post it here, I'll check back sometime in the future, thanks...
