Can anyone point me to a sketch tutorial that explains projecting and converting lines from and to construction lines. I'm seeing magenta lines, orange dotted lines, green dotted and green solid lines and of course white lines.. I can't find a reference that explains them, what Fix/unfix is etc.
Thanks

origonal OP was also asking what the colors meant. No mention so far of that. Is there a reference some where in the documentation?

magenta - projected sketch entities - sketch entities that have been projected from other sketch entities or 3D geometry into the active sketch (these entities are fixed in space, you can select them > right click > select Break Link to remove the association with the originating goemetry
orange dotted - construction sketch entities - entities that will not be used to create 3D geometry but may help the sketch in some way (e.g. a line to mirror across) You can modify by selecting normal/construction from the right click menu
green dotted - fixed construction sketch entity - construction sketch entity with a fixed constraint applied to it so that it has 0 degrees of freedom and will not move
green - fixed sketch entity - same as above
white - normal entities or pre-highlighted or pre-selected entities (when your cursor is hovering over sketch entities)
Below is a Screencast I've made for another post regarding the sketch environment that may help.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
