Pattern on Path error

I have a simple solid body (a cylinder) and a sketched spline.

I try to use Pattern on Path function to multiply the cylinder through the spline route.

The result is an error message:

"Error: Modeling Error: Pattern failed because it could not find intersections to destination"

What am I doing wrong?

(Fusion360 1.8.604 on OSX 10.8.5)

I just tried this on my end, and the functionality seems to work as I would expect. See the below video for details.

I suspect the issue is specific to the design/set-up. Could you include a screen-shot or attach a .f3d file to this thread? You can use the export archive command to generate the file from the model workspace.

The only difference between our workflow is an object selection.

If I pick the object on the browser (just like you), it's working.

But if I pick the object on the draw...error.
