Mac version of downloader does nothing

I searched around the forum, and it looks like some folks are successfully using Fusion360 on Mac, so I suspect this may be a problem that only happens the latest version, but who knows. I haven't found any related posts, so here it goes:

I downloaded the application installer, and when I double click on the installer from the opened disk image, it opens up a window with a picture and sits there and does nothing. No progress bar, no indication that anything is going on, and no menu options in the menu.

See the attached. That window with the dithered graphic shows up, and nothing happens, even when I leave the application alone for a while.

What might be going on here?

Were you able to install Fusion 360 on this machine/network previously? Are you behind a proxy server or firewall that may be preventing web access?

If I were not able to access the net, I would not have been able to find
out about Fusion 360 and down load the installer to begin with.

I don't think I am behind any firewall.

A firewall or proxy could prevent the streaming installer from reaching the web. This is different than downloading a file using your we browser. Have you been able to install Fusion 360 previously?

If you have installed Fusion 360 previously, try performing a clean uninstall using the below procedure.

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-...

Next, re-download the streaming installer and test installing again.

For a proxy server issues, it may be helpful to review the below link for further details on configuration.

If you're on a laptop, you may consider testing the install from a different access point (e.g. home network, coffee shop, etc..).

I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks,
