Create a fixed block from a multiple assembly.

I have a stp file of a hydraulic pump. Currently any single part of the pump and all the internals can be selected, delted moved etc, which is fine but when I want to align the pump to something. There's always parts left behind.

How do I convert said STP file to a fixed block where only the whole pump can be selected not indivisual components.

Have you tried using the Rigid Group command from the Assembly drop down menu? You can use this command to fix components' positions relative to one another. In this case you can use create a Rigid Group from the Pump housing and all of the internals.
