Can't install Fusion 360.

Hi

I can't install. It stalls on "Preparing" splash screen for long time, and then this message comes:

I'm behind a http proxy I should say. Does it honor those settings?

Regards

- BJörn

Hi Bjorn

1st must clean the “TEMP” folder that is have then try to install without the proxy, if you can. After that you can use the proxy, I’m using it now at home a proxy from school to log in and access to fusion 360.

Best regards from yours

Hi

What temp-folder do you mean?

Also, I have no possibility to install without a proxy.

Regards

Hi Björn

To a new install or reinstall of the Fusion360, you must always delete these folders C:\Users\tmgxbs\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\7015747d3c4b7a1968a4d7ed08e72861b54\Fusion C:\Users\tmgxbs\AppData\Local\Temp\7ZipSfx.000

The first folder name the large number may be different, as also the User name may be different.

Other solution is may be "Fix it", that is present for similar cases

hope some of this solves it

best regards

Sorry, neither one of those two suggestions made any difference in my case.

Hi Bjorn!

Are you able to attach the log file referenced in your error message?

Hi Philip

Of course, actually I thought I did that in the first post but I forgot. Here comes:

Much appreciated!

I passed the error log onto our dev team earlier today for troubleshooting, and either myself or one of my colleagues will follow up with potential suggestions ASAP.

Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for hanging in there!

Hi Bjorn,

To continue troubleshooting, we need to find out how your proxy is configured. What do you see in the Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Internet Options -> Connections tab -> LAN settings?

Hi Philip

It's directed to use "an automatic configuration script".  A .pac-script.

Best regards

Hi Bjorn,

Thanks for your patience as we researched your issue.

As a work around, you may reconfigure your browser to a static proxy. But be sure to do this with caution because if not done correctly, your use of other Autodesk websites could be affected.

Another solution would be to set a special "http_proxy" environment variable to point the proxy server which will allow the use of a static proxy server only for the streamer.

However; the streamer as packaged doesn't inherit system environment variables.  Therefore, you must install with the “getfusion.bat” file in the attached zip (there are two files, you only launch one, but both need to be extracted).

Please let me know if these solutions work for you!

Thank you for the actual support! I wasn't expecting someone really trying to investigate my problem.

It seems using a static proxy solved the problem. Thank you!

Best regards

Hi Ivan,

Have you tried setting your proxy to static?
