Adding to .step file

I imported a .step file to fusion 360 that I created in emachineshop. It is a hollow tube with quarter inch thick walls and a flared base. I want to add 4 protrusions on the inside of the tube. They will be 5 inches long and about one eighth wide and tall. What is the simplest way to do this?

Hi,

Is the below model similar as yours?

First step, get the sketch profile of the tube.

Above is the common steps to add the protrusions, also you  can try to use the Rib command instead of the Extrude command after you got the sketch profile you want.

My design is a cylinder, not a cone and it has a flared end, but what you did very close to what I want to do. Since I brought it in from emachineshop, I can't convert to t-spline but maybe I can do what you did. I won't know until I go home in the new year and can get back on my computer. I'll let you know if it works...thanks.

How do you "select Slice Sketch command"?

If you right click on the active sketch in the browser you should be able to Slice Sketch.
