HI.
I'm having such a problem...
I'm using HP 5000 plotter.
When Im sending my document to plot I need to wait VERY LONG time for plotting process. Does anybody know what's the problem?
If I do that on computer with AutoCAD 2002 & Windows XP - everything goes just fine, but if Im using AutoCAD 2005 (or 2006) & Windows XP ( no matter Home or Professional) - it's pain!!
Please, anybody - HELP!!

Wow, this is ironic, I have the same problem and was just going to post this. The spooling takes a normal amount of time but the printer says processing job for 10-15 min before anything comes out.
Question for clarification - are you on a network or is it directly hooked up to your computer.
I had mine set up both ways and for some reason the network method is a bit quicker.
Hope someone has an idea or solution.

Well,
Mentioned plotter is directly connected to computer which is NOT a server. PLoter is avaible by local net.
I hope that this explains it to you - my english is poor

There are a couple things I would try... Change the way it spools. Either spool directly to the printer or to local machine. Second thing I would try and this is just for giggles and grins to see if it changes the spool time is to change the scaling or the "zoomsmart" feature from 100% to 99%.
