    Autodesk CAD inter-operability

    Hi,

I'm trying to write an add-in option for AutoCAD that will allow a user in a
Visual Basic Application (our specific) to define building parameters, (ie.:
exterior wall plan w/ exact door & window sizes & locations), then open a
drawing with the specified building already in place. I was thinking of
using either VBA, AutoLISP, VisualLISP, or ARX for this. (I actually don't
know which would be best, but that's not my direct question; although I will
accept any suggestions on that...) anyways, I would like it to work with
several versions of ACAD, so I think VLISP is out. (right?) I was thinking
that it should also work with ACAD LT, so I think some of my other options
would be out as well. (right? Does anyone know what kind of programming
features are available on LT?). That got me thinking of just writing a
script that would systematically input each of the variables being used in
    our application.

So my question is, do QuickCAD and/or AutoSketch accept any kind of add-ins,
scripts, programming options, or anything like that? Also, are the basic
    commands the same as ACAD?

I'd really appreciate any help I can get, and if it wouldn't be too much
trouble, I'd like the reply in e-mail, 'cause I'm on someone elses system
right now, and don't know when I'll be able to subscribe here. My e-mail is
    jonny_nut@hotmail.com. Thanks a bunch.

    Jonny,

You might try the ARX group or the Architectural Desktop group via
autodesk.com. This is outside of the realm of the Heidi graphics group.
