computer rendering slowly, max and vray

hi

can anyone help me with a small problem. 

i recently built a new computer, its a dual 16 core operon 2782 server, 64 gig of ram, solid state drive harddrive for operating system, tesla C2050 gpu card, 1000 watt gold power supply. 

The prupose of the machine was to slash a few hours off my render times and increase productivilty. it did it for the first few weeks but render times have slowed down dramatically?? 

compared to my other machine. a core i7 980x with 8 gig of ram and old school harddrive its dramatically slower??

example being i rendered the same file on both machines. the i7 did it in 4 hours and my new rig in 22 hours?

so my question is whats gone wrong? it should be twice as fast accordiing to benchmark tests. could it be the solid state drive? or a component in the machine? its not my settings becuase ive tested the same file on my other machine..
