HP Laserjet 5000, Windows 7, and AutoCAD 2002 LT

The plotter manager does not list the HP Laserjet 5000.  I can print using the currently installed driver from every other program, but I can not plot from AutoCAD 2002 LT.  Any and all suggestions appreciated.

there is a box you need to uncheck in OPTIONS command, PLOT tab, titled HIDE SYSTEM PRINTERS.

Unfortunately that box was already unchecked.

I was able to find a solution.

I copied the .pc3 file from my 32bit XP system and pasted it into the plotter manager of the 64bit Win7 system.

Bada Boom Bada Bing....It works!

Learn it, use it, save it!

Go to HP.COM and get the Windows Universal Driver and install it on your PC like you do all printer drivers. Now PLOT to it from AutoCAD.

Hello,

I tried that. May I ask how is your printer connected to your PC?
Are you using a parallel to USB connection?

network printers: your problem may be your choice of cable connection.
