Backing up to CD-R/RW

What software does anyone recomend for backing up a Win2k computer to CD? I
want to do occasional backups of my OS/ Program partition (probably
bi-weekly) and nightly backups of my data drive. Will the backup
software/task scheduler included with windows do this task, and preserve my
sanity?

Please make your comments in relation to price/performace of the solutions.

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,

ntbackup.exe (the backup utility included in Windows 2000) will allow
writing to any removable media including ZIP and CD-R. I think you
just need a packet writing driver for the CD/R which is basically
included w/ most CD-R drives or in CD-R software.

I like NTI Backup for single system backups and home network backups. Easy
to use and schedule. I use it to back up my cad files across my home
network - (basically move files from one computer to the other) and then to
CD when my anxiety level gets to high...

Thanks Matt- Now that I know It's possible, All I need to figure out is how
to do it. I don't have DirectCD installed on my computer (too many problems
in the past), so that's probably why I don't have that option on my cursory
inspection.

I agree - I've used it for a while now and like both the reliability and
interface. I would recommend, however, to use cd-r discs vs. the cd-rw's -
less problematic IMHO.
