Fusion 360 closing at splash screen

Hi there,

I just had to reinstall fusion 360.

It had started crashing out at the splash screen, with no error reports.

I could see fusion 360 in the task manager in my windows 7, then it woudl just disappear along with the splash screen and nothing would launch.

I uninstalled from control panel and run the client installer again.

Everything came back nicely with all my files etc.

Hmmm, everything was running fine, edited for 20 minutes, got almost what I wanted, then tried a pull on a simple face, internal error, greyed out, crash, windows style crash report, no report to autodesk.

Reopened all work gone.

Note as it was only 20 minutes I have recreated the work.

I have moved my autosave down to 20 minutes.

Can you check your system information file (just type in "system information" in the window's start > search menu or go to window's start menu > All Programs >Accessories> System Tools > launch System Information).

Inside of the System Information dialogue, in Software Environment > Windows Error Reporting, can you locate any entries from today? Is there any indication of what is causing the issue? Sometimes this helps me, but most of the time its a bust. To cover my bases, I check your crash error reports, but did not find anything.

It may be a good idea to run any pending Window's updates. I've seen a crash at the splash screen with other programs due to graphic card/driver issues. With a gray screen, I usually think graphics issues. What graphics card/driver version are you using?

Thanks,

Hi There,

I generally keep the machine fully upto date.

Just checked nvidia drivers are latest, and windows update is looking clean.

Windows Error reporting, hmm, sort by time is useless in there! Looks like it is not using the local time zone either.

Scanning through, I see the two latest entries. Apparently I am crashing in the future 🙂

Regarding the crash reports from the future: Are your system clock and timezone set correctly?

Pretty sure they are.

I have a big clock widget on one of the screens to remind me when it is getting silly late ( or early) when grinding through something. I am sure this is fine.

I would suspect the crash reports come out with GMT
