Can't install Fusion360

I've tried installing a few times now, and always get the same error about "invalid compressed data"

I have a Macbook Pro with a Core Duo 2 64 bit processor

I've cleared out the cache and uninstalled an old version of Fusion (not 360)

Nothing I do lets me finish installing this program.  Please help!

Here is the error log

The other version of Fusion should not inteferre with Fusion 360. Can you try doing a clean uninstall and installing Fusion 360 from a fresh download?

To perform a clean uninstall on a mac:

  1. Move the Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or Autodesk Sim 360 dock icons to the trash.
  2. Clearing your cache files
    1. Start a new Finder window
    2. In the Finder Menu (Apple bar on top), select Go > Go to Folder
    3. Enter ~/Library in the dialog that comes up
    4. Browse to Application Support/Autodesk/ and move the following folders to the trash:

                                                   i.      Webdeploy

                                                  ii.      Web Services

                                                iii.      Autodesk Fusion 360

                                                 iv.      MC3

                                                  v.      Synergy

                                                 vi.      NINVFUS (if present)

                                               vii.      Neutron Platform

                                              viii.      Common

ix.      Autodesk Sim 360 (if present)

                                                  x.      NSIM (if present)

  1. Next navigate to $TMPDIR/Autodesk (open a Terminal window, and type: open $TMPDIR/Autodesk) and move the following folders to the trash:

                                                   i.      Autodesk Fusion 360 and/or Autodesk Sim 360

                                                  ii.      BrowserCache

                                                iii.      Neutron Test Application

                                                 iv.      Project Forge (if present)

                                                  v.      Project Simulus (if present)

I hope this helps. Please keep us posted on your progress.

I've done that a few times, but just did it again and installation is still failing at around 80%.

Are you on a network that utilizes a proxy server? Also, which version of OS X are you running?

Thanks,

Would it be possible to attach the below file to this thread?

$HOME/Library/Logs/autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log.

This file may better indicate where the problem is.

Have you try installing on a different network?

I hope to get to the bottom of this soon.

Thanks,

Different networks do not help, still receiving the same error.  Any ideas?

Unfortunately, the log file was not helpful in determining a solution. I have a procedure that will help us diagnose further.

Please download this browser downloaded file to your problem computer (link below).

https://dl.appstreaming.autodesk.com/production/packages/d4930ee3984d127e017b1484d10f6c6c05154582.ta...

Next, I will need to obtain this file from your computer. I suspect the file will be too large to e-mail; therefore, I will invite you to upload the data to my Autodesk 360 account. I will use the e-mail address associated with your Autodesk ID. If I should use another e-mail address, feel free to private message me or e-mail me direct at Nathan DOT Chandler AT Autodesk DOT Com.

If you have any troubles getting the file downloaded, or uploaded/e-mailed, please let me know.

Thanks for your paitience as we work through this issue.

Kind Regards,
