3D connexion setting

I'm extremly impressed to see that my 3D Connexion mouse works with Fusion360.

However, It's a little slow. Do you know how I speed it up?

I don't see SpaceMouse in the Fusion 360 preferences either, however I found that by going to the 3DConnexion control panel in System Preferences and turning down the overall speed to the absolute lowest setting it became useable.  There is still an issue with severe lag, making the SpaceMouse unusable when some commands are active (measure, etc.) or when other processor intensive apps are open. This is with their latest driver- have you tried updating yours?

Does anyone know of a way to improve this performance on OSX?

Ron, I think Autodesk and/or 3DConnexion must solve the lag issue among themselves. I looked into this at the beginning of my Fusion 360 trial and found no cure to the lag.

Likely Autodesk thinks it's a 3DConnexion problem and vice versa.. Or maybe it's Apple? 🙂

Chris: the "spacemouse" tab was removed some versions ago. It's not supposed to be there / to be necessary any more (the video material is outdated).

I seem to be having trouble getting my recently purchased spacemouse wireless to play nice with Fusion. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and I can never edit the settings. I don't have a control panel with this latest software, just a properties window, but the window needs a profile to be loaded to work. I tried to make a Fusion360 profile by renaming and modifying the Inventor.xml in C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore64\Cfg but that doesn't appear to have done anything.

Ah, I seem to have gotten it to work! Just had to restart Fusion, that was all.

I created my own Fusion360.xml files and placed them in

%appdata%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg

and

C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore64\Cfg

Here's the file that goes in appdata, the other one is attached

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<AppCfg Default="false" xmlns="" CfgFormatVersion="1.0" ThisFileVersion="1.0" xml:space="preserve">
  <AppInfo>

    <ExecutableName>Fusion360.exe</ExecutableName>
    <Transport>S80</Transport>
  </AppInfo>
  <CfgProperties>
    <InheritsFrom>Fusion360</InheritsFrom>
  </CfgProperties>
  <Settings />
  <Devices>
    <Device>
      <Name>SpaceMouse Wireless</Name>
      <VendorID>46d</VendorID>
      <ProductID>c62e</ProductID>
      <AxisFilter>None</AxisFilter>
      <Axis>
        <Enabled>True</Enabled>

        </Input>
        <Output>
          <ActionID>HIDMultiAxis_X</ActionID>
          <Reversed>False</Reversed>
        </Output>
      </Axis>
      <Axis>
        <Enabled>True</Enabled>
        <Input>
          <ActionID>HIDMultiAxis_Y</ActionID>
          <Min>-512</Min>
          <Max>511</Max>
        </Input>
        <Output>
          <ActionID>HIDMultiAxis_Z</ActionID>
          <Reversed>False</Reversed>
        </Output>
      </Axis>
      <Axis>
        <Enabled>True</Enabled>
        <Input>
          <ActionID>HIDMultiAxis_Z</ActionID>
          <Min>-512</Min>
          <Max>511</Max>
        </Input>
        <Output>
          <ActionID>HIDMultiAxis_Y</ActionID>
          <Reversed>True</Reversed>
        </Output>
      </Axis>
    </Device>
  </Devices>
</AppCfg>

 It doesn't seem to save settings, I'll see if there's anything I can do about that.

Hi, I'm using a spacemouse with Fusion 360 and I wanted to know if it is possible to rotate around the object selected as I often move way of my focusing point and find really tedious to move back to where I was working.

Thanks

I am using Fusion360 for Mac in the AppStore-Version and there is now way to get the SpaceNavigator to work.

Any ideas out there? Smiley Sad

Greetings people, first post here on the forums, I just bought a year subscription to Fusion 360.

Quick question about the 3Dconnexion mouse. I'm trying to find the proper key binding to reset my view to the center of the screen, much like the little house icon up top. I've tried setting it to a few different isometric view options but the mouse is unresponsive.
