I was just wondering that too!!! I believe Autodesk just announced the realse of thier Entertainment suite with 3ds Max.

But im curious to see what new updated feature they would have for Showcase.

This is just me, and im not sure if they could pull it off. But, I would love to see Showcase use both CPU and GPU to render via Ray Trace. Also, i hope they make the use of creating, and placing accent lighting much easier.

Those are my 2 biggest wishes.

eh eh, honestly there are a lot of cool things i would like to see in Sc15..

we have discussed them a lot of times even for '14 and the only thing added, apparently, was depth of field, which was probably something already planned, and a tool to modify HDR lighting directly in SC..

things missing badly are:
-area lights!! or more lighting shape in general (tubular ecc)
-effective sections cutting geometries (raytraced sections)
-option to cap sectioned geometry somehow
-emissive materials for raytrace(not just self lit, but actually illuminating the scene when moving to RT)

-find a way to better simulate realtime chrome reflections ecc (selective raytrace for reflecting objects like mirrors and metal?)
