working with splines

Working with splines.

Q1 - Cannot seem to get the Curvature Combs on splines as described at http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/beta/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/ENU/Fus...

Am I missing something?

Q2 - How to "unlock" a spline's handle once it has been "locked" horizontally or vertically?

Thanks.

Use the Create Base Feature command first before creating the sketch. The curvature display is available for within the direct edit mode which can be accessed by Create Base Feature or the Create Form command.

For the "lock" issue, it sounds like you have some constraints added to the handles. You can simply select the constraint symbols in an active sketch and delete them (use keyboard or right click menu).

See the below Autodesk Screencast for detail:

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Thanks for the useful information Nathan.

Any particular reason for Curvature Comb to be only available on Base Features?

I am not familiar yet with Base Features. Would appreciate if you could elaborate what's their intent in Fusion.

I find it very useful to be able to edit curves without entering sketch mode yet only constrained handles seem to be available in this mode - or is there a trick to get unconstrained handles to be edited without entering sketch mode?

Couple of other points:

o A sketch created via Base Feature does not seem to have a particular identification in the tree view.

o It seems that Base Feature mode has to be re-entered in order to edit features on a sketch created via Base Feature. The sketch is not directly editable by double-clicking in the Tree View like of other sketches. Should be IMO to avoid some cumbersomeness.

o Don't see why Curvature Comb would not be available on any type of splines, whether or not it is created via Base Feature or not.
