Hi,

At the moment, there is no easy solution.

There is the option to create a large PSD file and import that into Action and shrink it down.

Some other workflow is to turn the vectors into a font with a font package (like fontographer I think…)

You would load the font in Action and extrude the shape. It's not the prettiest of workflows but it's a workaround.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I've had to do this before. My work around was to use After Effects, Illustrator and a 3rd party plugin called Zaxwerks Invigorator. Could be a cheap option.

Now this sounds long winded, but it's easier than it sounds. And Invigorator working on AE gives you other options too.

Starting from an eps in illustrator, save as an ai. In Ivigorator in AE you can import ai files to be 3D objects.

Then export this as an .obj (I couldn't get other types to work, even .3ds) and import into Flame 🙂

Furthermore you can draw multiple masks in After Effects that create holes in each other, say a letter 'D', copy these masks to illustrator, export as ai, import in Invigorator, export as .obj and import to Flame.
