So does having a Mac Pro 5.1 mean Im screwed?

I purchased a Mac Pro 5,1 recently.
Im running 12gb Ram and an ATI Radeon HD 5870...I know Smoke 2011 SP4 doesnt support the 5870 but my only options at the time of purchase were the 4870 and my 5870...

Now when I hit the ESC button, or go to side bar or try to Process (render) the video Smoke freezes.
I am running my tutorial footage of the system drive. Ive yet to go out and buy a raid drive to move my footage too. Could the issue be that I'm running the footage of my system drive?

If it is the graphic card, am I suppose to just wait around until (if) it becomes compatible with an update or patch?

Thanks

-Albert

The new updates should fix compatibility issues with the ATI card. You could also get the NVidia Quadro FX4800 and really put your machine to work.
