Saving CloudPoint Info for use in attaching Mattes in another action

Hi, Just getting into using the camera tracker and wanted to know how to save and retrieve pointcloud info for use in another action. Want to know how to attach a mask using this info?

Once you are done with the Analysis, you can select the desired Trackers and press the "Create Locators" at the far right of the Analyzer menu. This will add a Point Locators object to your Action Schematic, locators that appear in the Result View (Not in the Analyzer view). To copy this information to another Action node, you can either:

1. Select the Point Locators node and Copy it using the Copy shortcut or the Contextual Menu. Then open the other Action's Schematic and Paste using the shortcut or Contextual menu

2. Select the Point Locators node, go to Action's Save menu and Save a setup with the "Selected Objects" option instead of All. The go to the other Action and load the setup you just save using the "Add Nodes" option.

With your Point Locators node selected, add a GMask to your scene. By default, it will be a child of the Point Locators. You can then snap the GMask axis by holding the  Shift shortcut while you move the Axis within the Viewport. The Axis will be snapped to the different points.

THanks Fred,

Thats worked well although the gmask you select from the nodes bin is a different gmask from the usual Batch gmask.

It didnt have the fine control (gradient/offset) of the other. Unfortunately.?

Or am i selecting the wrong one,

Many Thanks

The GMask available in Action is indeed a different model than the one in the Batch GMask node.

You can add as many Offset points as you want by selecting the Add Edit mode and then shift-click on the Mask spline
