Projects Missing

I've been using Smoke 2015 on a second system as Trial for a week because I was having problems with my primary system (problem now solved). Completed a job, and 2 other jobs ongoing on this trial system. Today, when I launch Smoke, it shows no projects from that drive. The folders still exist in /usr/discreet/projects and the project.db shows the projects in the list. The simply don't show up in the startup window.

Yes, the media drive is connected, and it is still listed in the Smoke Setup Media Storage list. I haven't changed anything on this system since using it yesterday (albeit at a different location). And there are still 17 days remaining on the trial software.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Mike

On the log in screen, make sure the "Host Computer" is set to your computer. Also make sure "Project" is set to All Versions.

That should do it.

Thanks for the reply, TOAOT,

All of those settings are correct (on this system, there are no alternate options for those settings).

Hmmmm, it's beyond me then I think. The projects are stored in a database, maybe one of the tech gurus has a terminal comand to try. Post your logs.

It sounds like it's not seeing the media drive those porjects are on. Perhaps in moving to a new location the pathc name for the drive has changed.  Double check the path in OSX and in the Smoke Steup to make sure that the drive is mounted in the same place.

Hi BKM

It not only sees the drive, I can create a new job on it. What I can't do is see the existing jobs. I did reboots, restart of Smoke processes, I'm out of ideas.

Are there folders in /usr/discreet/clip for the missing projects?

Hi,

Would you please go to the start up splice screen and set the project selection from CURRENT VERSION to ALL VERSIONS and see if the projects are visible now?

Many thanks!

Grant
