Can anyone from Autodesk give me a link to something that explains to me how to obtain the perpetual license for Smoke 2015 in the next two weeks, and prices?
Can't find this info on the Autodesk website anywhere.
I think it's pretty unfair to shut out customers who were not on Subscription. Some of us were waiting for the product announcement before making the investment. Now that we've waited, we can't access a perpetual license? There must be a lot of upset potential customers. Not having a perpetual license is useless to me - I'm not paying "rental" just to have the software lose features in a year. What kind of offering is that?
If I can't get on perpetual, then there doesn't seem any point whatsoever continuing business with Autodesk.
Unless Autodesk have listened to what people have been asking for and will just make licenses of Flame Assist available to freelancers. Again, roadmap for the future please?
If you are not currently on subscription you need to contact your reseller (or Autodesk) and renew your subscription before the release of Smoke 2105. Which is around April 22nd. I believe.
Then you will be current and you will get a perpetual license of Smoke 2015 when the release is availible. I am sure Autodeks is willing to work with you.
Hi James.
Check out item #8 in the Smoke 2015 FAQ: http://area.autodesk.com/userdata/products/smoke_2015_faq_en.pdf
Best regards,
Robert.
#10 in the FAQ also helps you get current if you are not.
I have never heard anyone have anything good to say about dealing with a reseller. I hate the middle man concept.
Try and contact Autodesk Sales directly.

But I know they are closed for the Easter Holiday til Tuesday.
I am confident that someone will take your money. And I think you might have til May 8th to get it settled.
I have similar situation. My subscription expiered this January.
I'm living in Utah and we don't have reseller here.
I submit request question about subscription a couple day ago. So far no contact from them.
Also I called to Autodesk support center today and they transfered to customer support front desk.
They asked me to leave message and I tried to do so. However, the machine didn't take my message.
Well...what can I do for my situation???

Hello @mildseven2013 !
Apologies that you have had such difficulty in figuring out this subscription issue. I do hope that you hear back from the reseller, however I did find that you have submitted several cases to the customer service team. I promise you that is plenty and that they will get back to you as soon as possible. This is a busy time as many of our new products have just been released. Thank you very much for your patience! If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know.
Sure hope I get a commission on all these sales. 🙂
Hi Kiyoshi.
I have contacted my colleagues on the Sales team and will find a person to contact you about this.
Thank you for your patience and apologies for the difficulties in getting your subscription renewed.
@Alex: I understand your request has been solved, is that correct?
Best regards,
Robert.
