Move selected polygons

Is there a way to move selected polygons, like we can in Zbrush?

Apparently the move tool only moves the whole mesh, dragging along the selected polys too, not deforming anything but just translating.

Grab tool is not an option, as  it is obviously a totally different thing.

maybe freeze other polygons and use grab tool?

That is a totally different thing to what i asked.

Yes, seems to be the only possible workaround, but not quite the same thing.
