How to export alpha contained video or image file?

Anyone knows how to exporting alpha contained video or image file?

Is it possible?  If so, what type of codec should I choose?

Exporting a clip with alpha needs to be a matte container first.  You can create a matte container from a fill and a matte clip and use the Make Container in Tools.

Then export as normal...

Image: .png, .tif, .tga

Video: RLE, PNG, uncompressed with alpha.

Thank you, Brian.

However, I didn't succeed to create matte contained clip yet.

I created my clip with CFX with alpah.  The icon says "CFXa" in schematic view.  I can use this clip in timeline as matte contained clip.

Still I have to create another clip with your explanation?

Thanks!

You have to render the CFXa and commit it.
Make a copy of it, then right click on it and choose Commit>Commit FX. That will Hard commit the fill/matte and make it a mate container. The CFX will no longer be editable. so that's why you need to make a copy.

Brian,

I did Commit>Commit FX and exported QuickTime Uncompressed but I couldn't make matte contained movie file.

What I'm missing?

Thanks!

Also try PNG with alpha as I know that works.
