Just playing around with the new 2015, it seems snappy even on my old 2009 MacPro 🙂
Have anyone tried to export a movie from 2015?
The codec space in advanced settings is blank and error message saying something like "could not find video format for codec "Quicktime" in preset...."
The 2013 export on the same machine is working well.
A bug?

Just a flakey thing that can happen after a new install.
Try and restart Backburner using the Service Monitor. It should fix it.
I'm getting the same same problem with "could not find video format for codec 'Quicktime'....". Originally it was intermittent but now I am stuck unable to export anything. I have tried restarting the machine and also restarting Backburner. I can only see the one backburner server in the list which says 'idle'. I've tried reinstalling and don't know what to try next. This is on a laptop but seems to be working ok on my desktop machine. Any other ideas?
Thanks
Sven
Just an update on my export troubles. I can't be sure what the cause was but it might have been related to my computer name sometimes being spelt with a capital letter and other places just lower case. Anyway it's working again! and everything is running smoothly.... which is nice.
Had same problem. Find out it's hapening when rendering to the stone drive ( same drive where media sotrage is located) once changed to other drive, no problem renders fine.
Updated to 2015. It won't Export any type of file. I must be missing some setting somewhere. Any suggestions?
Thanks

HELP! HELP! I'm having the same problem with exporting from Smoke 2015. I tried resetting Backburner and restarting my computer and nothing seems to work!! I have a client waiting for his QUICKTIME movie. Can anyone help me!!!!
You could try and uninstall and reinstall Smoke. Your projects will be fine.
Use the uninstaller in Autodesk Folder

I tried reinstalling Smoke and that had no effect. How do you clear the Backburner Log File??
Web Browser...
http://localhost/backburner
login/pass - backburner/backburner
select your jobs and delete with the ACTION interface button
I tried logging on to the backburner and am getting a :
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /backburner on this server.
I don't understand what this means since I'm the only user on this Mac and I'm set up as the adminstrator.
I'm also having problems finding out who to call for technical support.
Thanks!
Open up a WEB BROWSER.
go to http://localhost/backburner
Login/pass is backburner/backburner
Select the jobs in the que and use the BLUE Action button to delete.
I've tried doing this Brian, but an getting an unable to open message from safari. Is there another place these files are located on my Mac that I can access them?
Thanks!
Chris
