Can smoke really do big size videos ?

Hi I know it stops at 8k, but my 5k projects should be possible. But it's not regular. It is a 5760 x 960 pixels video.

I'm running on a mac pro, D700, 10.9.4

When doing a simple lens flare in an action, with my video ( a video wall) a little bend (extended bicubics), each time I adjust the position of the lens flare light and it touches the edge of my video wall,  my computer goes down BADLY, nothing will move afterwords, my screen goes crazy and a hard shutdown is the only option.

here is my screen when it has crashed:

I see a lot of posts about graphics issues with the D700's Seems like Smoke doesn't like them much.

Is HWAA (hardware anti-aliasing) turned off in CFX?
That could be your problem. There has been an issue with HWAA and the 700 GPU's.
I have asked on the forum here if the latest OSX updates fix this issue, but have yet to see an official answer. I leave it off to avoid the hard lockup you get when left on.
Any Autodesk feedback on this appreciated.

Don't know if system will be slower, as I always leave HWAA set to OFF. My assumption is it should be MUCH quicker set to ON, if it was reliable, but it isn't!
