Add Comp on Container problem?

Flame 2015 SP1

If I bring in a PNG with alpha and select 'Create Matte Container' with 'Add Comp on Container' enabled, when you try to use the element in Batch the alpha is just full white.

When you Explode the clip, it puts the fill and matte into a Comp node, with a black Colored Frame on the bottom (for reasons I don't really understand) but the Comp node's Input 2 transparency is set to 0% which explains why the alpha is full.  Image attached of the clip immediately after exploding.

If you bring the original graphic in without 'Add Comp on Container' turned on you get a simple clip with alpha and everything works.

Hi,

I cannot explain why this happens but I actually did a video on this on the Flame Premium Learning Channel.

The only thing I can speculate is that the mechanisms needed to make it automatically comp on the timeline is not the same to just work in Batch.

Grant
