Thanks. The stores are in the process of launching right now so that may explain what you are seeing.

Right now the US store can be accessed here: http://www.autodesk.com/store/flow-design

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, Falcon was available for Mac OSX for part of the labs program. For Flow Design, we are initially focusing on Windows due the fact there was far more interest in it within the labs community.

However we are continuing to monitor interest in the Mac version so let us know if you want to see it: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Flow-design-Ideastation/Add-support-for-Flow-Design-on-Mac-OSX/idi-p/4...

Hello,

Falcon (Flow design actually) works very nicely, to be really usefull a couple of enhancements are needed, otherwise it will be considered as a gadget. For architecture and urban planning for example :

1- topography of the area (i.e import an .stl file, or something else, containing the terrain)

2- porosity  for some elements (like trees)

3- take into account the friction velocity (assign materials to the objects and maybe to soil) to simulate wind gradients.

For the moment the wind tunel seem to be a wall but without wall conditions.

Anyway the product is very fine for a primary assessment and on simple Cases. Thanks for this easy to use and usefull product.

Pricing is regional based on several factors, so you will see small variations depending on location by design. This goes for all products on the store. I don't have specifics on this particular comparison, unfortunately.

Hi, I am having problem while designing a micro-fluidic channel in AutoCAD. Its like whenever I draw a circular or curvy channel of about 30 micron, the channel walls do not remain smooth. And when I manage to get the curves smooth, its like at saving and reopening the drawing, its back to the same irregular shape.

Please, advise.....

I don't know the details of your application, but Flow Design is tailored for external airflow analysis. It isn't designed for microfuidics or channel flow applications. If you are having trouble creating the geometry you may be better off posing your question in the AutoCAD forum.
