Factory Demoted Parts to retain connections

I had a chain of conveyors that I wanted to demote to a subassembly. When I demoted them to a factory layout, they were no longer connected. I could use the connect function and go through and connect them but it would be really nice for them to maintain the connection I already made for them.

Have you checked the "Infer connectors" option before you sync asset chain to Inventor?

I am not syncing to inventor. I am demoting a conveyor chain to a
subassembly from a parent assembly. Though if you mean syncing to ACAD and
then syncing back with the infer connections checked as a workaround, that
would be an option to try in the meantime.
