problems with removing vacancy

I realized all of the spaces on my floor were marked vacant (when only
like 20 should have been), so I selected them, opened 'Edit Selected
Spaces' and chose 'Vacant' toggle 'No'...

But, whether I'm selecting individually or all 400 spaces, they're still
listed as being vacant.

How can I change that without manually going through every space to
uncheck it?

It would seem that the routine you outlined should work, but since it isn't working...modifying in the database the tblAsset:vacant field would be pretty quick.
