PLine issue, acad config

I have an array of points (xi,yi) which were created another then ACAD software. The format of array is as follows (for example):

5.1,3.2

5.4, 4.3

….

28.1,-8.3

I would like to create PLINE according to this array. In earlier ACAD  version there was not a problem to do that. I selected the array and copied into the PC memory (Ctrl_C of selected array). After that I typed command PLINE (or pick up this option) and pasted the data (Ctrl_V). ACAD creates the needed line. I have a problem to do that in ACAD 2009. The software pastes the array itself instead of the line. Is it possible to configure ACAD like it was in the earlier version? Thank you.
