Uninstall failure Inventor/Vault 2010

Hi everybody.

I hope I have found the correct forum to post this in (not sure what the FM bit stands for).  Anyway:

We're having problems uninstalling Inventor 2010 on my PC at work.  We have to revert to Inventor 2009 as that is what the clients models are produced in, and it'll overall be easier if we are all on the same release.

We've used the uninstall executable file and it comes up with a failure notice on Inventor 2010 and Vault 2010 only.  AutoCAD and the rest of the crew are gone, but just these two remaining and refusing to leave.

Can anybody shed some light on this please?
