Hello,

I have downloaded the student version of Ecotect, and I want to use the wind analysis for my model.

Where can I find it? for some reason, there is no wind calculator on this version???

I hope the response is not too late.

CFD simulations are not possible in Ecotect unless you at an earlier stage have downloaded Winair.

 I have contacted the Cardiff university, which developed the program, asking where to download it. The answer:

Unfortunately, this is an educational tool which we have developed internally and at the moment there is no external license.

We are hoping to market it externally but this won't be in the near future

There are some simulation wizards on the forum who are working with Winair. However if you need to get some fast and yet good results you should in stead download Design Builder. I have just started working with it, and it is a very good tool in my opinion.

Another option is the IES virtual environment.. Depending on what you need you can also check out the Sketch Up plugin Virtual Wind
