RT- auditorium seats

Hello,

I am new to Ecotect, and I am doing an acoustic analysis on an auditorium model. I noticed under Analysis>Reverberation Times it allows you to input Auditorium Seating parameters. I have not modeled the seating. My question is, does Ecotect now account for the absorption of the seats/audience with this feature, without you having to model the seats (or create "seating" planes with the proper absorption coefficient)?

I am curious because I read an old thread from 2004 where someone asked this same question and one of the statements he received was the following:

"Note also that the additional absorption from seating and occupancy is NOT included in the estimated RT as it considers solely the decay rate of specular sound rays as they bounce around the space." Dr. Andrew Marsh Square One research Pty Ltd
