Hi All,
I am trying to do some basic acoustic analysis with ecotect on geometries imported from the rhinoceros plugin grasshopper. After importing the geometry, and running the initial RT calc, ecotect calculates the volume of my space and the area of all surfaces and it appears to do so correctly. The problem I am having is that, once I add a point sounds source to the space and recalculate the RT, the surface area calculation becomes much larger. This results in a significantly reduce RT.
I am wondering what the reason for this applification in surface area is, and weather or not these reduce values for RT are accurate. Any input would be appreciated!
thanks,
Matt
