Difference between ecotect "Indirect reflections" and radiance "ambient bounces"

Hello,

I am doing daylight factor calculations using ecotect with radiance.

Whan launching the calculations several parameters are asked for in the calculation wizard, amongst which:

• the radiance parameter: ambient bounces (ab=8 by default)
• the indirect reflections in the summary window of the wizard (=3 by default)

Modifying these 2 parameters have non negligeable impacts on the final results, but different impacts though there definitions seem to me to be the same....

Can anyone explain me the difference between these 2 parameteres and there impact on the calculation?
