Changing units doesn't save

Hello,

I am having trouble setting the units in Autodesk Ecotect 2011,

I set the file preferences to S.I. But when I go the the weather manager units are still in metric. I have tried to switch the units tofrom Celsiusto Farenheit in the import window. Still no luck.

Please help. just trying to use the weather analysis tools in U.S. measurments.

Thanks

Hi fentbrad,

Sorry for the late reply...

You are not doing anything wrong here, just some limitations in the software:

1. S.I. is inded the metric system, so in Ecotect, selecting S.I. will make everything metric (m, C* etc...)

2. You have the option to choosing your units only in Ecotect - the Weather Manager does not provide this option and has always been in metric unit.

3. The import option to translate units from C* to F* in the Weather Manager is only when translating weather files that you import, whether or not they were recorded in metric or what not.  This will not change the units in the Weather Manager - they always will be in metric unfortunately.

I hope that clarifies things a bit...

Cheers,
