Stretch and Rotate problem

Hello All,

I'm trying to apply a stretch and rotate dynamic to, for example, a block of a rectangle that is 2 feet wide and 10 feet tall. The insertion point is at the top, center. I've tried applying the stretch first, starting at the insertion point and stretching downward. I then saved the edit and tested the stretch. It works fine. I manually rotated the block 45 deg and can still stretch along the 45 deg axis. I then go back into the block editor and apply the rotate parameter starting at the insertion point. I then select ALL the objects, including the stretch parameter. Then exit the editor and try the functions. Now starts the problem. The rectangle will stretch in the top to bottom axis direction, no problem. Now rotate the block via the dynamic, say 90 degrees, then try to stretch it. It does not stretch along the 90 deg axis, but appears to move the stretch end perpendicular to it. In other words, moving the stretch arrow east and west, moves the end point north and south, creating a parallelogram.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Take your stretch action out of the rotate action selection set. Including
parameters in selection sets doesn't usually cause problems, but actions do.

Hi Kate,

I tried removing the stretch parameter, but it's still reacting the same. Maybe I should start from scratch again. I must be doing something wrong, obviously.

Remove the stretch ACTION, not the stretch parameter.
