    Purpose of lookup action

    Hi All,

I am writing a litle scription on dynamic blocks but i can't find out the use of the lookup action.

When you add a lookup parameter it already has a lookup table attached.

And when you select this parameter when you want to insert a lookup action you get the message:

Lookup parameter already associated with a lookup table.

Is there something i am missing?

Or is this action completely useless?

    Regards

    Thomas

Since a lookup action needs no association with objects and a lookup parameter can only be used with a lookup action I think autodesk made it so that when you add a lookup parameter it also automatically adds a lookup action, just for time-saving sake. They probably left the option of manually adding the action just to be safe or maybe cause they didn't want to restrict the users.

Note that this is a guess =P
