Problems inserting Dynamic blocks

Sometimes, when one of my users goes to insert a dynamic block that I have created, the block comes in with the attributes but not any of the special DB actions. It's frustrating because it doesn't happen consistantly. Is there maybe a sys variable that gets set that disables the dynamic features? Any help would be appreciated.

just make sure that you stay in the correct measure format if you use imperial blocks in metric the options jump out into space, also make sure your ight button menus option is turn on (will find this under options, user preference tab)

Which right button menu option do I make sure is turned on? There is a 'Turn on time-sensitive righ-click' option. Is that it?

It's the "short menus in drawing area" that needs to be turned on

You probably have a block within a block.
When you create a dyn block in a drawing and w-block it to a block
directory,
make sure you select the BLOCK option as the source, not the OBJECTS as the
source.

The OBJECTS method creates a block within a block, and upon reinsertion from
a block
directory will loose it's dynamics.

Well, I feel kinda of stupid. I figured out lastnight what the problem was. It's the block manager that we use. If we set the manager to autoscale the blocks depending on the dimscale, then the block inserts without any dynamic features. So, I emailed the company and they are looking into it.

Where do you select the BLOCK option or the OBJECTS option?

Check to see if your block manager is scaling nonuniformly (x, y, & z, factors are off). Scaling nonuniformly will disable a DB's features. You can prevent nonuniform scaling in the blocks you create. Just check Scale Uniformly in the Block Definition dialog box.
