Passing a value from the action parameter to a user parameter

I need to use the dimension created by an action-parameter as a variable in a user defined function but AutoCAD will not allow me (see attached).

How may I access the action-parameter's dimension please?

You've probably noticed that this is likely not doable OOTB.

Typically the Value of a Parameter is able to be used with a Field.

Unless you can add a Field to the expression column to get this Value you're stuck.

I did not see that this is an option in the editor.

Or if there is a way to add just a placeholder entitity to that Parameter or geometry that can be used...
