Lookup problem (2012 ver.)

Lookup (for some reason) seems to be kicking my butt... the attached DB works fine except for the 2 lookup parameters... what they are suppose to do is raise or lower the toe kick lines when and if needed.

Hoping someone can tell me what my problem is...

AND... is there a good "Lookup for Dummies" tutorial somewhere?

Ted

Nearly there, you need to add a stretch for the toe kicks, for some reason I haven't figured out yet, your toe kick parameters weren't responding correctly so I redid the left hand side one as an example.

Thank you, Steven...

I will look at what you did a little later when I have a moment...

None of the guides I looked (used) at mentioned having to have to add an action to lookup for it to work.

That's why I ask if there was a "Dummies" book for Lookup... it is amazing to me that there are not any "how to" guides or books by Autodesk explaining dynamic blocks... the papers and briefs I did find just assume you already know what to do.

Thanks again...

This is a paper I refer to quite often it's old but useful, Dynamic blocks

Thanks again, Steven...

I found several dynamic block AU papers online but not that one... it has more information about Lookup than any other I did find.

Things are starting to clear up some now.

That is a big help.
