Could someone tell me what is the command within AutoCAD LT 2014 for inserting a new block onto a drawing border template
If the template is an x-ref, then open the x-ref and use INSERT. If the border is a block, then slect it, right-click and open the block editor. Once inside the block editor, use INSERT.
I've inserted a new block into the drawing template but i can't see the objects within that file. Could you please take a look at this, Libbya.

What is the new Block and what is it you cannot see?
Is the address the Block?
Is the GIF what you cannot see?

The new block.dwg is a street plan which i'm trying to insert into the drawing template called LP - High Road Willenhall.dwg. But i'm not having much success.
I think what you are trying to do is 'x-ref' the drawing. Once it is x-reffed, you will then want to create a viewport so you can see into model space from your template.
As Libbya said:
XREF the drawing New Block into the file with the Border
Create a Viewport in the Layout with your Border.
Enjoy.
There are a number of odd items in the file new Block that cause it to Zoom/Extents out to about a Parsec but otherwise doing the above works fine.
BTW - Where did you get this border? Cadblocks for free?
Kinda strange
